This assembly uses part of the Nativity story to encourage students to feel empathy for those who are bereaved at Christmas.

Resources

Three readers (Reader 1 female and 2 and 3 male). PowerPoint (PP) presentation provided; show PP1 as students enter. The story of the Massacre of the Innocents can be found in Matthew 2: 16-18. The story of Louis and Rhia is fictional but true to life.
